Race Marshall Mark Nordman in a statement from the Iditarod Trail Committee, says the early release following his 24-hour layover was not Redington’s fault.“This adjustment does not affect Redington’s overall race time or provide any competitive advantage or disadvantage over other racers,” said Nordman.The 27-year-old rookie as of Thursday afternoon had checked into the Takotna checkpoint.last_img
