The event promises to be an exciting one with two September famil spots up for grabs at each event, a series of door prizes including Victorinox watches and suitcases, as well as bags bursting with Swiss goodies and useful information.Agents can look forward to meeting the following Swiss delegates at STE 2018: Christoph Bosshardt, Basel Tourism; Mark Meier, Lucerne and the Lake Lucerne Region; Rayomand Choksi, Mt Titlis; Katarzyna Morgenstern, Jungfrau Region; Dario Gross, Jungfrau Railways; Renato Julier, Interlaken Tourism; Francois Michel, Lake Geneva Region; Stephan Neidhart, Zurich Tourism; Andreas Nef, Swiss Travel System, Alan Ramsay, Schilthorn; Janine Imesch, Zermatt Tourism; and Andrea Pietsch, Hotel Ambassador Zurich. Joining them will be Mark Wettstein and Birgit Weingartner from Switzerland Tourism AU&NZ along with local representatives from SWISS International Air Lines and Singapore Airlines.Switzerland enjoyed a whopping 14.1% year-on-year increase in overnight stays in 2017, which set a new record high in both the overnight numbers and percentage growth from the Australian market. With more than 55% of Swiss holiday bookings coming from travel agents, Switzerland Tourism and their partners are looking forwards to working with Australian agents even more closely to achieve an equally, if not more, successful 2018 and 2019.
